How to Measure your Square Spa with 1 or 2 Cut-off Corners
The information below details all the requirements for ordering a cover to suit a square spa with 1 or 2 cut off corners. If you find the details too involved, you may prefer to contact us via one of the contact forms in the right hand column.
MEASUREMENTS & INFORMATION REQUIRED
- Length of the 1 or 2 cut off corners
- Radius of the other 2 or 3 corners
- Height of Lip ( skirt length )
See 4 Diagram 1A - 1D below for required measurements
Diagram 1A - 2 cut corners MK1
Diagram 1B - 2 cut corners MK2
Diagram 1C - 1 cut corners MK1
Diagram 1D - 1 cut corners MK2
LENGTH & WIDTH MEASUREMENTS
Always measure from the outside of the spa shell ( not including any wooden frame or surrounds ) - see Diagram 2 above.
If the lip flares out slightly, measure adjacent to the bottom of the lip, see Diagram 3 above or video below
CUT OFF MEASUREMENTS
The length of the 1 or 2 cut offs is an important measurement to know for a correct fitting cover. See Diagram 4 above. If the corners of the cut off/s are curved, then see Diagram 5 or watch video below for information on how to measure correctly.
RADIUS OF 2 CORNERS
Chances are that the 2 or 3 corners that are not cut off, will be curved. The corner radius measurement is very important for a correct fitting cover. The distance from the 90 deg. angle point back to where the spa begins to curve, is the radius measurement. See Diagram 6 above.
SKIRT HEIGHT MEASUREMENT
The distance from the top of the spa lip ( including any controls sitting less than 25 mm proud ) down to the bottom of the vertical spa lip, is the measurement required for ascertaining the length of the spa cover skirt. See Diagram 7 above & video below.
